The fish and chips and the roast were both excellent, much better than what you usually find at most pubs. Honestly, I’d put the food here ahead of many high-end restaurants in Cambridge. Probably the best pub meal I’ve had. My partner and I went to The Waterman for brunch and were both really impressed. Special thanks to Nico, who kindly offered us coffees on the house afterwards. Great food and service, we’ll definitely be back!

The Waterman is a proper pub and kid-friendly, with space to settle in on your own, meet friends or spend time with family. Find a nook, join a long table, watch the game and maybe make new friends. The dark blue windows with leaded glass give it cosy vibes from outside, and the building’s unusual look and masses of flowers catch your eye on the street in gorgeous Cambridge.

Our regular Sunday Lunch Club met at The Waterman this month, with a large group seated in the warm and welcoming events space, The Potting Shed. Chef Callum and his friendly team went out of their way to make sure the food was high quality and worked for the different dietary needs in our party. The service was great, and nothing was too much trouble. Megan’s excellent communication before the booking helped everything go perfectly. A huge thank you to everyone involved. We’d be happy to return to this lovely venue.

We’ve always felt our pup was warmly welcomed at The Waterman, which is incredibly pet friendly. It’s by far our favourite pub in Cambridge. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the food and drinks are always good. It has friendly patrons and a welcoming feel, with great food and drinks.

We had a family meal on Xmas Day at The Waterman, and all seven of us enjoyed it. All six courses came out perfectly, and the drinks were served promptly. The staff were welcoming, pleasant and helpful. A lovely experience and great value for money. Many thanks to everyone who was involved 👌
