Cardiff Sandringham Hotel

The rooms are plain, but clean, tidy and comfortable, with a piping-hot shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Some guests may struggle with the lack of a lift and the steep stairs up to reception. We spent three nights at the Sandringham Hotel in Cardiff, in room 107. It's ideally placed, about five minutes from Cardiff Central Train station and around the corner from the main Shopping Centre and Christmas Market. With a bit of care and updating, it could be a hidden little jewel. For the price, cleanliness, friendliness and location, it works perfectly.

The room was pretty comfy and the staff were friendly. It's definitely a two-star hotel, but a lovely central place for a night or two. Our fan was warped and made a noise like an electric cheese grater, so we left it off. Buskers outside were loud and disrupted our sleep. Their increasing drunkenness was funny, but the noise comes with the location and wasn't the hotel's fault.

You can reach the main attractions in minutes from this city-centre hotel, and the train and bus stations are close too. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Prices are good as well. Booking directly with them is cheaper than using other platforms, I recommend it. I'd definitely stay again.

I love the buzz outside and how warmly you're welcomed here. It's family-run, clean and comfortable, and the service is good. The central location makes everything easy to reach. I'll definitely be back, thanks again!
