Ashley, Marie, and the other blonde girl with colour in her hair were so lovely to me. When the heating in my room wasn’t working properly, they moved me and checked I could get something to eat with my dietary requirements. All three looked after me so well. The staff are a real reason to visit, and such a joy to be around! 🤍

We were in Cardiff with a big group of friends and family for a special birthday, and the hotel worked really well for a city break. Our room was quiet, warm, spotless, and had a very comfortable bed. The bar and restaurant have a lively, trendy feel, with food and drinks available at certain times of day. Katie and Ashley deserve a special mention for welcoming us and making check-in go smoothly. The staff were friendly, polite, and very helpful.

The location is hard to beat, just a minute from the station, and the lifts were super fast. The room was spacious enough, well cared for, warm, and wonderfully quiet. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water, whether using the regular head or the ceiling one. I slept really well thanks to the excellent mattress and pillows. Breakfast was the usual Premier Inn menu, but better prepared than at other Premier Inn places I’ve tried. Ebony and Katie at reception and in the cafe on the morning we left were excellent. The evening reception staff on check-in felt cold and insensitive, and there was no option to change rooms because check-in was computerized. None of my phones could get online until 11:30 pm despite trying the usual fixes, and the laptop connection was slow until late in the evening. Without those three problems, I’d have rated this 5+.

Parking was a great deal: with the hotel’s reduced rate at the nearby NCP, it came to around £20 for about 32 hours. The location is handy too, right beside the shopping centre and only a five-minute walk from the Utilita, where I was going to a concert. Check-in was quick and easy. You can hear people in the neighbouring rooms, though, so a loud guest could make it hard to sleep. Still, I had a great stay and would book again.
