The restaurant is good quality, but you need to book. The rooms are standard Premier Inn, comfortable and with everything you need. It’s an older site, though, and can be noisy from doors and the stairs. There’s no lift, and no rooms are at ground level. A stair lift serves the lower rooms for accessibility, so if you can’t use stairs, you may need to request one of those rooms. I was here as a contractor with tools in my car and couldn’t carry them all to the second floor. The staff were helpful and let me store them in a store room. Overall, a good stay.

The reception team were great, and the room was clean and tidy. I had to ask for another towel, but they brought one straight away. The hotel is very conveniently located near the motorway. The restaurant food was great and the service was good, but the atmosphere was awful. All three serving staff were moaning loudly about a colleague, which really spoiled the feel of the place when we were trying to enjoy a relaxing meal. I also overheard them complaining about another table. People can be difficult, I know, but if you’re going to moan about customers, do it somewhere guests can’t hear.

A very relaxing night at Premier Inn Carlisle M6 J44. The room was spacious and had a modern feel, a lovely en suite and a comfortable bed. There was loads of free parking for hotel guests. It was good value compared with other Premier Inns in the area, and the location was really convenient for breaking up a long drive. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially when I asked about the local area. Check-in and checkout were quick and easy.

The motorway-side location made getting around easy, and check-in was a breeze thanks to the friendly, helpful staff. The room was clean and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. Even though we were near the road, it was peaceful and we slept well. We were genuinely impressed, and it felt like great value for a stopover or a visit to the area.
