The house and grounds are beautiful, and everyone working at Lords of the Manor brings a lovely warmth to the relaxed, elegant atmosphere. The staff clearly take pride in making each guest's stay feel personal, remembering preferences and adding thoughtful touches. Neil at reception set the tone as soon as we arrived. He was professional, genuinely warm and proactive about every request, checking that we were comfortable and offering useful suggestions, especially about charging our car. He made us feel valued, not like just another booking. Sydney at the front desk was also very welcoming and gave us lots of helpful information, particularly when we had questions. Our dog was greeted so kindly by an elderly red-haired lady on the team. She fussed over her and offered her a treat, which made her day. That sort of affection showed that dogs are genuinely welcomed as part of the family here. The restaurant service was excellent, too. Special mention to the bearded gentleman who served us, whose name I unfortunately can't recall. Neil, Sydney, and the red-haired staff member in particular helped make the stay memorable. We'll happily return again and again, and wholeheartedly recommend the hotel for a luxurious, deeply welcoming Cotswolds escape, with or without a dog.

We managed two nights away, which doesn't happen often when you have a four-year-old, and the hotel was lovely from arrival to the end of our stay. The dining room meal was one of the nicest I've ever had. Upper Slaughter is a ridiculously pretty village and one of the most swoon-worthy spots in the Cotswolds.

The food was a real highlight. We had a three-course meal in the main dining room, then the ten-course tasting menu in the Atrium the next evening, and both were exceptional. Breakfast was great as well. From start to finish, the hotel delivered luxury and top-quality service. We have nothing but positives to say about our stay, and the staff know how to look after guests. Long may it continue. Highly recommended.

The location was stunning, and both of our rooms were beautiful and clean. The staff were fantastic, too. The only drawback was that it seemed to be the only hotel and restaurant in Upper Slaughter. This is probably one of the best places I've stayed, and we'll definitely return next time we're in the UK.

Our room was delightful, with a luxurious bed that had me sleeping like a baby. The bathroom was the best I've had in England: push-button instant hot shower and modern, tasteful fixtures. Plumbing is a pet peeve of mine, and the usual UK struggles weren't an issue here. The grounds and building were gorgeous, and the staff were impeccable in every way during our two-day stay at the end of a business trip. The hotel sits right on the 10+ mile circular walking route through Upper & Lower Slaughter, Bourton-on-water and Naughton. WILL BE BACK.
