A really lovely pub for a meal or a stay in the Cotswolds. The other guests and staff were kind and friendly, and the food was delicious. We spent a night in a room in the main pub building. It was in great condition, cute, and very comfortable, just as I’d expected from the photos on the website. The decor also felt welcoming and cozy. I’d highly recommend it.

My friend suggested The Lamb in Rissington, and it turned out to be a great tip. We came in from the rain and found a warm, cozy pub that felt like just the right escape from the cold, wet weather. Amy was a star, with great crack and lots of knowledge about the local area. She and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive from the start. The food was outstanding. We had carrot soup first, then what may be the best shepherd's pie I’ve ever tasted, even better than my granny’s. Just the hearty, comforting meal you want on a cold day. I didn’t know The Lamb had rooms too, but after such a memorable afternoon I’m already thinking about staying next time. Thanks to Amy and the whole team for making a rainy day so special. We’ll definitely be back.

We had lunch with a friend in this quiet spot in a Cotswolds stone village. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was excellent with just the right sized portions. Rob, the assistant manager, hosted us, chatted with us, and checked that everything was alright. We’ll come again. Thank you.

We stumbled across this village pub by chance while trying to get around the gas main works in Stow on the Wold, and were blown away. The food was tasty, excellent value, and served in generous portions. The staff made us feel very welcome, even though we arrived late in the lunchtime service. There was no pressure to hurry. It’s well worth a visit, and we’ll definitely come back for more of the great food next time we’re in the area.

A very good lunch. This was a step above ordinary pub food, and everything we ordered was tasty and good quality. The service was very good too. I’d highly recommend it.
