The hospitality really stood out. Even with a packed weekend, the team at White Hart Inn were warm, accommodating and genuinely kind. After a long day outdoors, we felt looked after. We were staying nearby in an Airbnb in Winchcombe during a particularly busy weekend, with lovely weather and Giffords Circus in town. Reservations were hard to find and the other local pub was fully booked both days, so we were grateful White Hart Inn could fit us in on Saturday and Sunday night. We ate there three times over the weekend. Saturday lunch was simple and satisfying, with great sandwiches. That evening's fish and chips were crisp, fresh and clearly well done. After a long hike on Sunday, we came back for roast. I had the rare roast beef I'd been hoping for, tender with rich, flavorful gravy, and the roasted vegetables were cooked well while still having texture and taste. My husband really enjoyed the lamb. We'd return without hesitation.

No parking was the only real drawback. The car park was about a three minute walk up the road, which was awkward with luggage and walking the dog. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of storage, a nice shower, toiletries, tea and coffee, biscuits and a flat screen TV. The bed was more like a 3/4 double. Bar and restaurant service was very good and everyone was friendly, even spoiling the dog. The belly pork is well worth trying. Breakfast was tasty and nicely presented. Thanks to everyone. I'd recommend it and stay again.

The location is great, right in the centre, with nice pubs and shops an easy walk away. We stayed one night, 2/11/25, and had dinner and breakfast. Both menus had plenty of variety and the food was delicious. Our room was large, very clean and had a comfy bed. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the open fires helped make the bar and eating areas feel warm and friendly. I can't recommend it highly enough.

The Travelzoo voucher made this great value, and I'd come back as a base for Sudeley Castle or the Steam train. Our bed was very comfortable, though the room felt tired. The view was from the main street looking in, so you'd want the curtains drawn if you're eccentric. The pub food was typical, not homemade, but okay. The deal included cream tea, which we weren't offered when we arrived and had the next day instead, a scone and clotted cream with a hot drink. It was busy, lively and the staff were friendly, though perhaps they could focus a little more on the job and a little less on having a laugh. I may be hypercritical.

We stopped for a quick lunch while walking. At first the service was good: we got a seat quickly, our order was taken and the food arrived promptly. But the sausage bap seemed to have an undercooked sausage, with a thick pink strip through the middle while the outside was cooked. The other sausage looked normally cooked. When we mentioned it at the bar, we were told that's just how the sausages look. We asked again and got a different explanation, that the sausages were different and the pink came from Himalayan salt. That seemed unlikely since the pink was only in the middle and the sausages looked identical. The bap was refunded, but getting two different answers instead of a straightforward replacement was frustrating, and we won't visit again. I guess tomorrow we'll find out whose theory about the pink sausage was right.
