Leonardo Hotel Chester

We’re having a great time and will be back. The location is superb, with restaurants and bars nearby, and Eastgate shopping centre within easy reach. The hotel is clean throughout, and our good-sized room was cleaned daily. It had a lovely, spacious and comfortable bed. Breakfast had plenty of choice. The staff were all friendly. Holly on reception deserves a mention for recommending a great restaurant just across the road, and Orest the barman was charming. Highly recommend.

We’ve stayed here a few times and love it. We did run into a few problems this time, but Jules went above and beyond to get everything sorted. She’s great and a real asset to the hotel. Thanks so much, Jules! 😁

The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything, and parking at the shopping centre next door was easy. It cost £10 for 24 hours using the QR code in the room. The room had two double beds, both really comfortable. The air con, though, let the stay down. You pay for it, but it only goes down to 19 degrees, which was still too warm for sleeping. The room felt too hot and stuffy. I couldn’t even open the window a little for safety reasons. They gave me a desk fan, but it didn’t help much. If you’re paying for air con, you expect to be able to cool the room down. I spoke to the duty manager, who said head office sets it and they can’t change it. I don’t know how people are supposed to sleep in the height of summer. It’s a shame, but I wouldn’t go back.

The central location made this a fantastic base for a night in Chester, with everything easy to get to. The hotel was easy to find, and we got a warm welcome and great service at reception. The room was clean overall, though there were marks on the wall that could easily have been removed. Some hot breakfast items had run out and weren’t replenished, so staff could have kept a closer eye on that. Even with those niggles, I’d highly recommend it for the location, service and value.
