The table was beautifully laid out, the music was just right, and the owner and waitress were so friendly. We came in because it was Burger Night, after not visiting for a while. My partner chose the beef burger and I had venison, both with homemade coleslaw and skinny fries. We were already full, but tried dessert anyway. The rice pudding and jam was amazing, and my pavlova was just as delicious. Such a lovely evening, thank you.

Finding a seafood place nearby after moving here recently made me so happy. The Foxham was a great find: the mussels were some of the biggest I've ever had, and the King Prawns tasted incredibly fresh. Service and atmosphere were great too. Highly recommend!

We'd eaten here twice before and always loved the food and brilliant service. But after our third visit, my partner and I got violently ill from the Sunday lunch. I spoke to Mario each time, but he essentially shunned responsibility. It's very disappointing. We loved this place, but won't be back now it seems The Foxham isn't willing to accept that the extreme vomiting and diarrhoea we had came from their kitchen.

The Hake with mussels in sobrasado sauce was the standout, perfectly cooked and delicious. I expect I'll remember it for a long time. We also really enjoyed our starters and dessert, and the fish and steak choices, plus the specials board, gave us plenty to choose from. The restaurant is at the back of the property, with an open kitchen visible from most tables. It felt comfortable and welcoming, and I can imagine it being quite intimate in the evening. The staff were friendly, professional and knew the menu well. We'd wanted to eat here for ages, so finally stopping for Tuesday lunch was a good call. It isn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. We'll definitely return, especially if you like fresh fish that's cooked and presented well.

Lunch with our one and four year old went really well. They had no hesitation about fitting us in with young kids, and both the food and service were excellent. I had the monkfish cury, my wife chose the short rib, and both were fantastic. We're already booking another visit, this time without the children.
