The hotel has superb decor and was very clean, and the spa and pool were great. But those single rooms are absurdly tiny. You literally can't walk around the bed, which is awkward at best and could be a safety risk at worst. There's barely space for anything; they left the coffee machine unplugged at the bottom of the wardrobe, and I never used it. When I raised the room size, the hotel brushed me off with, “these are our smallest category of room.” I know that, but as an experienced solo traveller I still don't want to be sold an overpriced, undersized room. “Breakfast included” only covered a modest continental buffet. You had to pay extra for a hot breakfast. Hard to recommend or want to return.

The restaurant views are breathtaking, and the food was good. Banana bread and lemon muffins were excellent, though the regular bread was a bit meh. The included breakfast turned out to be continental only, which wasn't clear when I booked; cooked breakfast cost an extra £10. Service was friendly, if a little patchy in the restaurant, though it was Christmas and busy. My room was clean and comfortable, with good facilities including a bathrobe, slippers, a nespresso machine and lovely toiletries. The hotel has tasteful decor and a nice little spa. I'd stay again.

The bridal party were looked after so well in the morning that we had a relaxed, really enjoyable day and evening. At the wedding reception, every part of the meal was beautifully presented and delicious, and they catered for my dairy intolerance very well. The staff did everything they could to keep the event running smoothly and were incredibly helpful, even with the silliest requests. I wish I'd got the names of those especially helpful people, but the whole team is a credit to the hotel and deserves recognition. I was so impressed that I had to write a review after attending a wedding there yesterday. The location is beautiful, and I'd gladly recommend the hotel, especially for anyone planning an event. The service was exceptional.

The sea view was absolutely stunning, and we loved every minute of our wedding and stay at st Ives harbour hotel. We had our wedding there on the 23/10/2025, and it was the most magical day. The food, accommodation and wedding venue were all 10/10. The staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough for me and my husband. Nothing was too much trouble. I'd definitely recommend it, and I want to do it all again. Thank you so much for making our day special.

I loved and appreciated Daniel, the breakfast manager, and the Hotel was spotless and comfortable, with amazing food and a great spa. Events manager Nicole brought dinner for my son and me outside the usual hours and was attentive every night. When I first arrived as a journalist writing about Christmas in a Hotel for 2026, receptionist Sophie was lovely and let me choose among three rooms. But my last day was so bad that I can't include the Hotel in my feature or return in the summer as planned. I caught flu from a guest who was sick around the Hotel and asked for an extra hour to check out. At 12.10, a woman with a wet look blonde perm pounded on the door. She spoke to me like I was an inmate, said I was late and told me to get out immediately. I was so stressed that I broke my necklace and had to search for the beads. Ten minutes later she burst in, gasped at my handbag contents on the bed and shouted, “You’ve trashed the room.” Then she left, slamming the door. My son was shaken and incredibly angry. That encounter completely ruined the otherwise good experience. Being spoken to so nastily while you're relaxed is disgusting. It's a shame, but I won't be back. I hope the owners see this: Sophie, Nicole and Daniel work hard to make guests happy, and this individual's conduct undid that effort.
