Holiday Inn London Gatwick Worth

The large, airy bar is a real favourite of ours, and the value for money is outstanding. We stayed on Saturday because an event at the K2 leisure was nearby. This has been a good choice for us on several visits: the staff are great, the rooms are clean, and the comfortable bed makes for a good night's sleep. There was a heating problem in our room, but the duty manager sorted it out. Would highly recommend.

The breakfast costs an extra £19.50, with no smaller option, and parking is another £15 a night. There are plenty of parking spaces, but that felt expensive. The bigger problem was the noise upstairs. On the ground floor, I heard people stomping around above me because the soundproofing between floors seemed nonexistent. It woke me at 2am on the first night and at 5am for the rest of my stay. I wish I'd gone with a Premier Inn instead, since those rooms are much quieter and generally more up to date.

The bar was lively, with football on, and breakfast was great. I had one of the best sleeps I've had anywhere. Check-in went smoothly despite building work outside, and there's a bus collection point outside for the airport too.

Hollie was so helpful when we got back. She helped with our parking, made us welcome, and helped us settle in the restaurant for a cuppa before the drive back to Devon, including helping with wheelchair access. She really took time to get us excited about our stay and holiday, and the whole reception team were friendly and helpful. We'd come as a group of 24 to stay at the Holiday Inn Worth before a big family Caribbean cruise. The staff, facilities and room gave us just what we needed to rest before the trip.
