Balterley Green Farm - B&B

A handy overnight stop when travelling along the M6, and we’d stay again. It felt like good value, with lots of parking and a lovely breakfast that all of us enjoyed. The location is peaceful and rural despite being just off the motorway. There are beautiful grounds, and it was nice seeing the horses coming and going from the stables next door. We had our dog with us and they made it very welcome. With two children, the room was a bit tight for four, but it was absolutely fine for a night or two.

Jo was so welcoming, and she made one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. We’d love to come back to the area and see her and her gorgeous dogs again 🐶🐕 It’s a lovely little B&B, such a hidden gem. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are cosy, and the bed was the comfiest ever! There’s a shared kitchen if you need it, plus tea and coffee in the room.

Breakfast was hearty and nicely cooked. The room was basic, but clean and well presented, with toiletries in the bathroom and tea and coffee provided. The setting suited me just right. It’s quiet, with lovely views and a peaceful feel, though someone else might find it too isolated, out in the middle of nowhere.

I’ve stayed here twice and would happily recommend it. There’s plenty of parking, even for the very large van I arrived in once. It’s on a farm, with the accommodation in a separate building beside the farmhouse. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms and there’s access to a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was freshly cooked to order.
