Premier Inn Crewe West

We gave up on breakfast and left. By then the eggs, beans and mushrooms had run out, and we waited more than ten minutes without seeing a chef. Earlier, I’d asked for vegetarian sausages. They were cooked eventually, but sat on the side with nobody telling me they were ready, even though I was sitting by the buffet. The chef only cooked a few at a time and kept disappearing to make other things. The single chef and front-of-house staff weren’t communicating at all. The restaurant was quiet, but our table was dirty when we arrived, so we cleaned it ourselves. Most hot items kept running out, and we had to wait around for basic food just to put together a full breakfast. We went to Toast Haus in Nantwich instead. It was the opposite experience, with great food, good organisation and excellent service. I’d recommend going there rather than dealing with the disorganised breakfast at the Premier Inn Beefeater.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I ended up in a much better room than I’d planned, which helped. I did have to move rooms three times, though. The location worked well for my business trip, but the hotel and its public areas could use a refresh, including new paint and general decor.

The Beefeater food was tasty and good value, and I’d stay here again if I’m in the area. I only needed a room for one night, and this was the usual Premier Inn: clean, quiet accommodation. The bathroom could do with an upgrade.

The reception staff were friendly when we arrived and when we left, and gave us useful information about places to visit and things to do. Our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. There was always extra tea and coffee available too. A very nice hotel, and I recommend staying here.
