The vegan options were easy to enjoy even though they weren't marked that way on the menu. I had the veggie haggis wellington with mustard mash, roast veg and gravy, then mixed fruit crumble and custard. Both were vegan, and there were two vegan starters and a vegan cheesecake as well. The staff were lovely and really helpful when explaining which vegetarian dishes could be made vegan. Highly recommend.

The food was outstanding. We ordered steak Frits and macaroni, and also got to meet jagar the wee curly dog. We were just passing through on our way to Pitlochry after seeing the reviews. The staff were so friendly and even pointed us toward a more scenic route, where we saw the mirror man, falls of dochart, some kestrels and grouse.

The location is hard to fault, and there’s a fab beer garden out back with nice neighbours :) The rooms are nicely presented and look out over great views at the back. Service and food have always been a great experience, and the staff are happy to cater for our slightly particular children. I’d recommend it as a stop whether you’re after food, a place to stay, or just a drink and a catch-up with friends.

We only ate here, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. The place felt shipshape but still cozy and welcoming, with nice background music and a very friendly staff person. There was a good range of tasty food for different diets. The Cullen skink was tasty, and the breaded halloumi cheese sandwich was fantastic. My husband tried haggis for the first time on a fried chicken sandwich and liked it! Jager, the dog friend there, was very mannerly and sweet with the young family and several children, and with us too.

Good food and a solid selection of scotch in a very friendly pub. They have a good menu for both kids and adults. I recommend the locally distilled Glen Turret.
