The spa facilities were good and not too busy, and all the staff worked hard while staying friendly and polite. I hope they hear this, because the hotel wouldn’t run as well without them. Dee at reception gave us a lovely welcome for our festive break, and we weren’t disappointed. Our room was clean and lovely, with a very comfortable bed. The food was outstanding, especially the Christmas dinner. A fantastic stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

The spa was okay, and the women running it were polite and knowledgeable, but the facilities could use a makeover. There were dirty marks around the pool, only a few of the jacuzzi jets worked, and the changing room needs a facelift. Lunch was really nice, hot and fresh, and the service was good.

The steak was the best cooked one I can remember having in the last five years or more. The bar staff were well-mannered, polite and simply lovely. From the moment we walked in, Caroline gave us such a warm welcome, which set the stay up perfectly. This is simply a wonderful hotel, an absolute must! XxX

The Bistro deserves a special mention. Breakfast was great, and all three evening meals were absolutely amazing. The hanging kebabs are a definite must, and the steak was the best I’ve had anywhere, seriously good and perfectly cooked! This was another amazing long weekend on our return visit. The staff are all a credit to the hotel, really lovely and friendly. It’s a great base for going out, just a few miles from Dartmouth and with easy access to the A38 for getting elsewhere. Five stars, guys, thank you!!

The two-course lunch was really tasty, and the service was great. George was fantastic, and the woman at spa reception was lovely and very helpful. Such a good price for an amazing spa day! I’ll definitely return.
