The location is very good, with food, drink and entertainment available downstairs. My room was a nice size and clean. It faces the street and has two windows, but the noise was quite low, and the heavy curtains kept the street lamps from bothering me. The gentleman who checked me in was courteous and explained everything clearly.

The hosts were great, and so was the hotel and its food. We had breakfast and dinner one night, both really lovely, made with good ingredients and homemade. We loved it so much that we’re hoping to come back in August. Would highly recommend!

We booked at short notice and got a beautiful room with a massive, comfortable bed. Breakfast was incredible, and the staff were lovely and accommodating.

The cooked breakfasts were delicious, and Mike, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. A glass of fizz on arrival was a lovely gesture, and we’ll return. We’d been recommended Browns for its welcome and location, and it didn’t disappoint. This charming boutique hotel has plenty of character and heaps of charm. Expect sloping floors and the odd creaky floorboard. It’s perfectly placed for wandering around Dartmouth. We had a fantastic stay, thank you!

Browns is so close to the waterfront, which made the location ideal. The staff were all super friendly and couldn’t do enough to help, and the food and menu choices are as good as it gets. We had a really great stay. I’d recommend it 100% and stay again.
