The Derby Conference Centre

Jamie made sure we were comfortable, showed us how to use everything in the room and kept checking in on us. We booked a meeting room at Derby Conference Centre this week for a small managers' workshop for six. The room was exactly what we needed, and everything worked perfectly. The team looked after us so well, and everyone was really impressed with lunch. I'd definitely recommend booking here for your next meeting.

I stayed four nights and have just checked out. The bar was well stocked and reasonably priced, and I walked around the grounds each morning. We had conference sessions during the day, so there was no reason for me to leave the centre. I can't fault the quality of any of our meals or the service from the front desk and restaurant staff. Thank you, it was lovely.

We stayed overnight for the Freddie Mercury night. The room was very clean, though it needs updating, and breakfast was good. One thing to flag: we had a bottle of wine in an ice bucket and used the ice in my drink, assuming the bucket was clean. There were three wine bottle tops at the bottom, left by whoever had it before us. Please make sure you check the buckets.

I had an early start, so I can't comment on breakfast, but dinner was lovely and arrived really quickly. The old building is lovely. My room was a bit dated and dark, but spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and lovely pillows. The desk area was a little small, though the WiFi was fast. The bathroom was good and spotlessly clean too. I stayed one night for business while in the area, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I needed to.
