The room was clean and well equipped, and the hotel feels modern and finished to a high standard for a reasonable price. My wife booked it at very short notice, and Michelle at reception was professional and helped arrange an early check-in. She greeted me warmly when I arrived. Thanks again, Michelle, for making things easy at short notice. I’d happily recommend staying here.

Breakfast was freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. The croissants had run out, but a staff member brought out fresh ones from the oven. Our room was a good size, and check-in felt warm and welcoming. The location worked perfectly for our trip. Even the car park was being kept tidy, with someone out clearing leaves. The hotel looked so immaculate from the drive up that you’d think it was brand new. A great experience all round.

We had a fabulous festive break at the Pastures Best Western Hotel, staying two nights for a pre-Christmas weekend and attending three events in Reeds Restaurant. The breakfast was delicious both mornings, and the staff serving it were friendly and polite. Darren, the night porter, also looked after us brilliantly in the later hours and never made anything feel like too much trouble. The events were lively, and the teams worked hard in busy rooms. At Luke’s Ganeshow on Friday, Feroux was especially hardworking with food service and clearing tables. On Saturday, Paula hosted and set up the double bill, while Amelia and Daniel handled the busy bar with real effort. Nathan at reception and Sharon on Saturday morning were both efficient and friendly. Thanks to everyone who made the stay so good.

Sharon greeted us at reception and was very helpful throughout our two-night stay. I can’t remember all the staff names, but everyone we dealt with was professional and accommodating. We were there for a wedding at the Pastures Hotel, and had a really good time. Dinner in Reed’s, the hotel restaurant, on Wednesday night was lovely, as were the breakfasts. Our room was clean and nice, and the stay felt very good value. Thanks to Sharon and the whole team.

We were given a ground-floor room, which made things much easier as my husband is severely sight-impaired and doesn’t walk very well. The room was warm, clean and well equipped, and the welcome at check-in was excellent, with everything explained clearly. Dinner and breakfast were both superb. The shower had loads of hot water and great pressure, and the towels were soft and just right. My only small gripe was that the pillows weren’t very soft, though after a few glasses of vino they didn’t seem so bad. Everyone was warm and friendly. It was our first stay at Pastures Lodge, and we’d definitely come back. Thanks for such a lovely welcome and stay.
