The food was so good that we finished every bite and practically rolled back to our room. Sunday and Monday have a smaller menu, but it was still delicious, and the full menu on the other evenings felt special. Breakfast each morning had a good range, from continental and cooked options to traditional and healthier choices, served with big smiles. We found the New Inn peaceful, with a great atmosphere and everything we needed for a short stay. It’s well placed for walks to see the giant, and the surrounding area has plenty to offer and spectacular views. We’ve already booked another visit and can see this becoming a regular spot.

A pub with a rare bit of class. The food was genuinely excellent, and the wines were superb too. I’d never had a better dessert wine.

Julian & Annette made us feel very welcome, and the pub/hotel was a lovely place to stay. Our room was spacious, with the air conditioning already on when we arrived. We had supper and breakfast there and couldn’t fault either. Thanks for the hospitality, we’ll definitely return.

We came back for the £30 set menu, and I was delighted with every choice: onion and cider soup with a rarebit float, pepper steak and chips, then a choux bun with lovely chocolate ice cream and sauce. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The rest of our party seemed impressed as well.

We were upgraded on arrival, which was a nice surprise during our two-night visit to Cerne Abbas. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We ate at the restaurant once and enjoyed the meal, though it was a little fancier than we wanted. Still, it was a great stay and I’d love to visit again. Thank you!
