The staff were all great, friendly and ready to help with requests. Our large room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was much appreciated on chilly Highland mornings. The hotel is in a picture-perfect spot in Dornoch, beside the golf club and courses, with a short walk to a lovely beach or into town. Highly recommend staying here.

That shower was so good I could've stood under it all night. The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly, and the food was great. If you golf, there's a good-looking course too. A comfortable, relaxing place, especially after a long, hard shift. 12 out of 10.

The Royal Golf Hotel has a charming old-world feel, and I stayed there with my dog. The surrounding area and golf course are stunning, and clearly kept in great condition. But the guest experience fell short of the setting: restaurant service was underwhelming, and there was a stain on the carpet in my room, which wasn't as clean as it should've been. It felt like more care went into the course than the guests. Given the incredible location, better service and housekeeping would make a big difference.

Had a lovely festive lunch at the Royal Golf Hotel in Dornoch. The surroundings were beautiful and festive, the food delicious and the service first class. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're looking for somewhere special to begin the festive season.

The staff were lovely, and the chicken breast was nice, but for the price the food wasn't the best. The gnocchi was especially disappointing: the mushrooms were undercooked, the gnocchi overcooked, and the whole dish was tasteless. The bathrooms definitely need cleaning.
