The Devonian

I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but I was given two items from them. Nicki arranged it and was so helpful, polite, understanding and empathetic. She’s a credit to the company. I also saw an offer on the board outside for the restaurant or cafe that looked well worth it. The entrance, reception and bar were spotless, modern and classy. From the parts I’ve seen, I can imagine the rooms are beautiful and pristine, and I’d definitely stay here.

The hotel itself is very nice and clean, and the rooms have everything you could need. All the other staff were professional and lovely. But one employee, an older man with short grey hair, let the place down. He came to our room at night three times, harassing us and accusing us of things we weren’t doing. It seemed like he had nothing better to do than disturb us and make the night difficult. We wouldn’t stay again because of that one employee.

This was our second stay, and the staff and location were both great. The place has been renovated beautifully and feels modern. I can’t recommend it enough!

The room was lovely and comfortable, and I’d recommend getting one with the internal balcony, it’s a nice extra. The food was very good, and staff were helpful. Great spot too, an easy walk from central Douglas. Thanks!
