We celebrated our anniversary here and came to get away from the grid. It was just what we wanted. We had a warm welcome, and she was lovely; Tom showed us to the Bothy. It was private and romantic, with everything we needed and a hot tub. The night sky was amazing, and we could even see Saturn. On the second night we stayed in a beautiful, large, modern room with a super-comfy bed. The guest house was immaculate, the cooked breakfast was among the nicest we’ve had, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. There were games and an honesty bar in the lounge as well. The modern pool and spa were amazing, and the treatments were very good and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to visit again.

Burton Lodge has such a peaceful feel, and the grounds, spa and surroundings are beautifully looked after. My room was immaculate, spacious and very comfortable, with everything I needed. Breakfast each morning was freshly cooked, beautifully served and delicious. I can’t remember the kind lady’s name, but she was so friendly and made each morning a pleasure. I had a wonderful three-night stay and can honestly say it’s among the best experiences I’ve had while travelling around the world. Nichola, who I believe is the owner, was warm, attentive and genuinely caring from the moment I arrived. Every detail felt thoughtfully handled. It’s a real gem, with comfort, luxury and heartfelt northern hospitality. I can’t wait to return and would recommend it without hesitation.

The hotel helped us get rooms together and made sure everyone’s needs were met when I stayed with my four bridesmaids, two cousins and mum the night before my wedding in April 2025. We had an early start and couldn’t make breakfast, so they set out pastries and drinks for us to take along. The rooms were clean and beautifully furnished. I’d definitely recommend staying here. Thank you!

The Bothy was amazing, so quiet and private, with everything you need inside and a fab hot tub. Ian looked after us brilliantly the whole time. The heated pool and steam room were lush, and breakfast the next day was banging. We’d definitely stay again! 🤩
