Ramside Hall Classic Hotel & Golf Club

We enjoyed the spa, a relaxing, well equipped space with a pool, steam room and sauna. Pool attendants could bring drinks, and the couple of smoothies we tried were very nice. The food was good at both hotel restaurants. We ate at the bar, Charcoa, on our first night instead of booking a restaurant, and the large portions and quality made the higher prices understandable. On our second night, rain put an end to our plans in Durham, but the hotel managed to fit us into Fusion. Again, it was expensive, but delicious, with generous portions. Our deluxe room was huge and comfortable, although a little chilly on arrival because the radiator was off and the window had been left open. The wardrobe had seen better days. The hotel was clean, very well presented and maintained, with friendly, helpful staff. It was nicely decorated for Christmas. We had a lovely two-night break and will definitely stay again.

We had a great time, with gorgeous surroundings and plenty to do. The spa was relaxing, and the sports bar was a nice addition. The food was very good too. Highly recommend.

After years as loyal guests at the tree house, we won't be visiting again. They gave us a £50 voucher, but when we tried to use it, they refused to accept it. There was NO expiry date on the voucher, yet they still wouldn't honour the one they had issued.

After our round at the driving range, we had a meal at the rib room. Katie looked after us really well, checked that everything was okay, and even brought me a little cheesecake for my birthday. When you’re paying a lot for food, good service matters, and she gave us exactly that. She also complimented me and had some craic with us, which made the evening more fun. I couldn’t be more grateful.
