Bentley Brook Inn

We got a tour of the wedding facilities, and it really does seem like a magical place to get married. The Valentine deal made for a great weekend too, with amazing food and entertainment. Everyone was attentive, and the atmosphere felt welcoming throughout. We'll book again for the summer events.

Paul, Alison, the staff and the locals did everything they could to make our stay perfect. We felt like part of the family, and our dogs were treated just as warmly. The food was fantastic and plentiful, and the entertainment was good. We arrived early on Christmas Eve 2025 for a four-night break and felt welcome right away. We'd definitely return.

Between Tissington and Ashbourne, this is a large pub and hotel with a big car park, and dogs are allowed. There are cask ales plus a wide choice of low and non-alcoholic drinks. My draught ale was off, so I sent it back and they replaced it, though the woman behind the bar seemed a little bemused. Four drinks, including two soft ones, and three packets of crisps came to £21.10.

We really liked the food on our first night, especially the vegan and vegetarian choices. The staff were kind and welcoming, and when we realized we'd left our phone chargers behind, they posted them to us free of charge. We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time. The location is just right, close to shops and pubs while still feeling private.
