Premier Inn Bournemouth/Ferndown

We felt welcome and at home, even at Christmas. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially receptionist Liam, who went out of his way to meet our needs. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a very comfy mattress and blackout curtains that made a proper lie-in possible. Outside road noise was barely noticeable.

We were looking for a quiet base with easy access to different routes, and this suited us well. We had the window open all night and didn't hear a thing. Before booking, I called to check a few details, and the staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. The call and my follow-up request were handled well too. Our room had a couch that pulled out into a bed, which I think many of the rooms have. There was a fan, and although most people probably wouldn't have needed it in that weather, I liked the cooling effect. I just had to point it away from my partner. The different lighting options were nice, especially the soft light behind the headboard.

Breakfast at the Beefeater next door was freshly cooked and really tasty, with plenty of choice. The two staff members there were constantly on the go, making sure everything was right. We got a lovely welcome when we arrived, and the room was what I'd expect from a PI. A great place to stay.

Sharney made a fuss of my son at check-in, speaking directly to him and giving him a packet of biscuits. He was delighted and kept talking about it in the room. That extra touch made him feel special. She also checked us in quickly, explained our stay and booked breakfast for us. The room was clean and the shower worked well. The hairdryer wasn't working properly, but staff swapped it for one that did. I'd been a little concerned about road noise after reading other reviews, but it didn't disturb our sleep. We could only really hear it when we opened the window in the morning. A great stop to break up our journey.
