The couple who run the place made the stay. They were charming, funny, witty, helpful and accommodating from the moment I met them, just lovely people. The building itself is gorgeous and full of character, with personal touches that make it feel warm and comfortable. My room’s decor suited the heritage of the place, while the modern amenities made things convenient. I appreciated the Yorkshire tea in the room, and the real tea leaves at breakfast. The breakfast menu was delicious, especially the smoked salmon and perfectly scrambled eggs I had. I was here for just one night on a work trip and honestly wish it had been longer. I really hope I get to stay again.

Breakfast was a highlight, with a fresh, delicious selection and something for everyone. We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well kept, with everything we needed to relax. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. Every interaction felt warm and genuine. We’d happily come back and would highly recommend it for the comfort, service and friendly atmosphere.

I had such an amazing time at my divorce party that I forgot to take enough photos of the food, which was amazing. Peter’s food was out of this world, and Chess did a fantastic job serving cocktails. Stacie made the evening run smoothly, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The champagne was amazing too. Everyone commented on how fabulous the bedrooms were and how good breakfast was the next morning. What a hidden gem. I highly recommend this hotel.

Peter and Stacie were wonderful, friendly and hospitable hosts, and the young waitresses at breakfast were polite and attentive. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay, and both were excellent. Room 1 was extremely clean, with a large, comfortable bed and lots of pillows. The garden is well kept and a lovely place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the wildlife. Wrangham House is in a lovely village with two pubs, a few shops and a pretty church, and it’s great for scenic walks. It’s a great base for visiting the East Coast of Yorkshire, and we’d definitely stay again.

We had dinner both evenings, and the food was superb and plentiful. The cooked breakfast was just as good. We were warmly welcomed and had lovely service throughout our stay.
