Hickman Hill

The receptionist and breakfast staff were really friendly and accommodating during my stay. My cooked breakfast the next morning was delicious. I had a warm, cozy room that was immaculately clean, with everything I needed, including a smart TV and fridge. It was a great place to unwind at Hickman Hotel, and I’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting the area. One of the best places to stay.

This was my second time here, and I’d highly recommend it. The food is amazing and fairly priced, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, which makes a difference when you’re travelling solo. Such a lovely hotel.

After eight years as a customer, it’s really disappointing to say we won’t be back. We’ve had Christmas lunch, New Years dinner celebrations, family parties, and meals just for the two of us here, and I’d say we’ve been strong supporters. The food and its quality aren’t the issue at all. They’re outstanding, comparable with some of London’s best. What changed things was a recent interaction with a senior manager about something I thought was very insignificant. Before I could even finish explaining the context, her response was crass and rude. It was a complete shock, especially over such a minor issue. In the current economic climate, it’s disappointing that she thought it appropriate to be so liberally rude to long-standing customers. We’ll be quite happy to drive to neighbouring towns for a good meal. Exceptionally disappointing.
