Woodland Bay Hotel

The beachfront and lovely walks nearby made it easy to relax, and I felt welcome as soon as I arrived. My dog was welcomed too, with a request that I look after her carefully so the stay could run smoothly for everyone. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional, and the room was spotless. It’s a self-sufficient working farm, hotel and equestrian business, all set in a compound. The owner clearly has high standards and puts guests and staff first. There were clear instructions to help guests maintain the hotel’s standards, and I felt part of a well-run place. Each room gets an impressive continental breakfast. A refreshing, comfortable stay.

I only stayed one night, but walking along the beach and stargazing across the bay made it a great stop. The room was huge and had everything I needed, plus a sea view and plenty of breakfast provisions. Check-in and checkout were very efficient, there was parking on site, and it was great value for money.

We both felt welcome here, my dog and me. The room was comfortable, clean and came with a good breakfast. The beach is just across the road for a walk. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Handy place to stay before catching the ferry to NI the next day. The rooms are nice and spacious, with a DIY breakfast in the room, and local restaurants can deliver there too. It is a bit pricey, though.
