The city-centre location is excellent, close to the railway, Buchanan bus station, pubs, restaurants and shops. The room itself would have been lovely with larger windows, and the bathroom with its bathtub was especially nice. Breakfast was fine, a classic English buffet. The staff were otherwise outstanding: they offered complimentary breakfast after I complained about the noise, moved me when the mould was being cleaned, and did their best to manage a chaotic situation. The mould around the bathtub was treated the next day with bleach, but the strong smell meant I needed to change rooms. I appreciated the team's efforts to deal with it. The noise was the main reason I couldn't relax during my five-day stay. Glasgow had some kind of children's gymnastics or dance event, and it felt like there were around 100 very young children in the hotel. They ran, screamed, jumped and pounded around from all directions. On every floor they made camp sites in front of the lifts to practise dance or gymnastics, with music and food, and left mess behind. After the first night I went down to complain and found other guests doing the same. I understand kids are kids, but when parents don't teach them to behave respectfully in a hotel, staff should step in. At the very least, someone should have gone floor to floor and told them not to camp out and make noise. The carpets were very worn, the walls scratched, and the narrow windows let in little light, which felt a bit depressing. There were also small mould spots by the tub. Maybe I was simply unlucky to be there during the children's event, and in other circumstances I might have given four or five stars. I can only judge the stay I actually had, so despite the caring staff's efforts, I was very dissatisfied.

This Premier Inn isn't for me. It's very central, which is handy for exploring Glasgow, and the bed was clean and comfortable. But the room was shabby and smelled, the bath-shower leaked a lot and looked grimy, and the basin taps were faulty. There wasn't an iron or ironing board in the room, and I didn't see a staff member during my stay. I checked myself in and out, and didn't request room cleaning, since you now have to specify if you want it. I stay at Premier Inns often, but this one wasn't it.

The bathroom was supposed to be accessible, though we're not disabled, and the toilet handle was broken, which was embarrassing to deal with. There was dust all over the room, including the top of the wall, vent, TV and the shelf at the back right. While I slept, it got into my nose and mouth and made it hard to rest. I was unwell in the room for three days. After I vomited, my wife gave me a fizzy medicine tablet to settle my stomach. About 24 hours later I finally had a big bowel movement downstairs, and my stomach started to feel better. I fell into a deep sleep; my wife put out the Do Not Disturb sign. We had gone to North Aberdeen for skiing, then went into Aberdeen town centre for a restaurant before catching the last coach back to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station. I picked up some food at a shop, and we took a taxi to the hotel and room 226. The bedroom was comfortable enough. Breakfast was okay, but the coffee tasted like watery "ECO Water" or horse poo, and it upset my stomach. I avoided tea and coffee after that and had fresh juice instead. The next morning my wife had her fizzy medicine at 6:46am. An hour later we went for breakfast, and I still avoided hot drinks. Afterwards we made fresh bottled water in the room kettle; my wife likes making French herbal tea with it. On our last day we packed and my wife booked a taxi to Glasgow Central. We couldn't shower because the smell from the toilet seemed to be spreading bacterial infection. We left and told the manager about the broken toilet handle. The hotel room was comfortable, but it's a shame about the breakfast drinks and the toilet. I won't book this room again. We want a normal room, not a disabled bathroom. It was disgusting. Back home in Blackpool, we had a long bath and finally felt clean. Don't book the same room, mate.

The kitchen stood out for me. On my second day, the chef seemed keen to make a less common request, two soft-boiled eggs. He checked if they were okay, and they were perfect, thank you. It's a small thing, but that kind of care from a professional makes a difference. The food was good quality and prepared and presented thoughtfully. The hotel is central, convenient and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and informative. Everything was well managed and organised, and staff were excellent at their jobs. I've stayed here before and, in my experience, the standards have stayed consistent. I'll definitely stay again. Everyone's experience is different, but I'd recommend trying it based on my own stays.

We spent five nights here and the beds were very comfortable. It was quiet, the staff were friendly, breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent. The room could have been cleaned more thoroughly: there were crumbs on the floor and a few black hairs on the bedding. With three of us, having just one towel hook in the bathroom was a bit inconvenient.
