Premier Inn Glasgow Newton Mearns - M77 J4

The location is great, with lots of local amenities close by. I met some lovely staff: Paula at reception was warm, kind, and welcoming; the head chef, whose name I didn't catch, was helpful too, and housekeeping always greeted us with a smile. But the manager on duty and another receptionist were miserable and, frankly, rude. When I took my poorly toddler to the restaurant after missing breakfast, I got a short, sharp “we're closed.” I understood that a later checkout wasn't their policy when I asked because my son was ill, but a little compassion and discretion would have gone a long way. A mixed experience, really.

The front desk woman was very nice, and the location was good. But the cleaning staff opened our door three separate times while we were in the room. After we requested a room cleaning, we came back to find the bed made but the sheets hadn't been changed. That disappointed us.

The staff are amazing and always smiling, and breakfast was cooked by a wonderful chef. We had to change rooms because my sister was unwell and I'm prone to infection. They quickly arranged another room for us. We'd definitely recommend this hotel.

We almost always stay here when visiting friends in Scotland. It's in a great location, and the price is much better than the other hotels around here.
