Rennie Mackintosh Station

The staff are brilliant and really care, which means a lot. I appreciate everything you all do, thank you. I'd recommend this place to anyone :)

I was impressed by the excellent service, the spotless room and how welcoming the staff were. The comfortable accommodation and great amenities exceeded my expectations. It was a fantastic and memorable stay, and I'll definitely return.

For this price, the hotel has a lot more character than most, and it's very well located. Reception staff were first-class, breakfast was good and sensibly priced, and the room was large with loads of plug sockets. The floor creaked incredibly loudly, though, and there was some road noise. At times I could feel a bus shaking the room. Still, I slept really well in the very comfortable bed and would definitely stay again.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made the stay pleasant, especially as I'd just moved to the city. The rooms are quite cramped, though. Mine barely had room for my luggage, no cupboard, and hanging space for only three coats. I understand some rooms have already been upgraded, and I'll revise my rating if I get a chance to see the newer ones. For an average nightly price, and given I wasn't planning to spend all my time in the room, it was okay for a budget stay. The rooms could still be improved for the age of the building. Cupboards, hanging space and a chair should be standard. Staff: 5/5, it feels like five-star service. Room: 3/5. Luxury: 2/5, the lounge chairs are falling apart, the beds need replacing and the walls could use repainting.
