Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel

Traveling with a pet was easy here. The Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel is exceptionally dog friendly, with accommodating staff and spacious rooms. Renovation work was happening across the street, but it didn't bother or disrupt us. Being centrally located is a real plus, with shops, great restaurants, historic pubs and public transport close by. A comfortable, well-connected choice for Glasgow visitors, especially pet parents.

For £202 total for two nights, including the £30 parking charge, we expected a much higher standard. Reception staff were friendly and polite, but the stay was disappointing and we won't be back. The pillows were extremely hard and clearly worn out, and stains on the carpet, bed and bedding made the room seem unclean and poorly maintained. Construction noise outside continued throughout our stay and made it hard to relax. Parking was another problem: about half the spaces were much too small, making it stressful to manoeuvre without worrying about damaging the car.

We stayed overnight for a concert at the OVO. The hotel sits conveniently between the arena and bus station, close to lots of good restaurants and pubs. Molly, apologies if I've got your name wrong, was very nice and polite when we checked in. Our room was clean and spacious, with fun colourful lights, and the bathroom was accessible for a bigger person. The buffet breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice. A great stay, and we'll be back.

The room was immaculate and much bigger than I expected, with a huge bed and some nice touches, like the light controls behind the headboard and a heating system that's easy to use. The shower was powerful and amazing. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the location is superb, close to everything you need. I'd booked an apartment originally, but this hotel looked good and didn't disappoint. Ten out of ten for me. I'd love to come back. Until next time, sandman!
