The inn has plenty of appealing shared spaces, and the location works well for getting to nearby hikes. The building is cute and old, though it’s showing its age, and Room 7 was very small with no chair. There’s no lift, so anyone who struggles with stairs should look elsewhere. The bathroom had the usual European setup, no grab bars, and a tiny shower screen that let water spill into the tub. The restaurant was our only option, and we didn’t enjoy it. The staff were wonderful but seemed short-handed and low on supplies. Breakfast had no pastries or eggs, dinner was all deep-fried choices, and the pizza wasn’t available because of staffing. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but I’ll probably avoid staying here again.

The car park was closed off, and signs on the doors made it clear that visitors were being notified. I went there to get a drink, but the place was closed, so I used the car park and its slope to sled with a three-year-old. I can’t comment on the inside. It looked nice through the windows, and it’s right by the fish and chip bar with access from the A82.

The staff made our first two nights of honeymoon at The Glencoe Inn feel so welcoming, from the front of house team to the restaurant staff and chefs. They were also lovely with our dog, making a fuss of her and giving her lots of treats. Our junior suite was lovely and had amazing views, plus a bath in the room, though it was quite small. We had a lovely stay.

The restaurant food was top notch, and there are whisky and beer bars as well as plenty of shared rooms if you want extra space. It’s an extremely cute inn tucked into a beautiful Highland glen. We’d happily come back, no questions asked.

I was a bit wary after reading some reviews, but the room met my expectations. It was older, which I thought added to its charm, and it was clean. We enjoyed the fruit, cheese and chocolates we ordered. It felt like just the right room for a rainy day in Glencoe.
