Hatherley Manor

The staff were the real highlight, so friendly and helpful throughout, especially the receptionist and the ladies at breakfast. We didn't realise a hot breakfast was included, so that was a nice bonus. The bacon was top quality and the eggs Florentine were perfect. We had an overnight spa break in a gorgeous place. Our spacious, very clean room looked over the front lawn and had everything we needed, including a good shower, lots of complimentary bits and bobs, and a wonderful coffee machine. The spa was lovely and relaxed, with plenty of room to enjoy the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and other facilities. Thanks so much for the stay.

Each visit leaves me more disappointed. Most of the staff are lovely when you can find them, but the bar is often unmanned and room service is now unavailable too. Drinks are ridiculously expensive, and I could live with that if I could actually get one when I wanted. One young man even greeted a guest with, ‘you'll right’? The furnishings vary a lot across the hotel. Some executive rooms look cheap and crappy, with smelly drains, broken tiles, and no full-length mirror. The stay has become so disappointing that I'll be looking for somewhere else.

The peaceful, well-kept spa facilities were a real pleasure, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious with a good selection, while the staff were welcoming, attentive, and keen to make the stay special. Hatherley Manor Spa Hotel is an elegant, characterful place in beautiful countryside, bringing historic charm together with modern comfort. It makes a wonderful choice for a relaxing spa break or special getaway. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic wedding weekend at Hatherley Manor Hotel and Spa, and really enjoyed extending our stay. The hotel was clean, with different room types so most of our guests could afford to stay. We also found it very helpful that alternative conference spaces were available for storing wedding items. Beth gave us exceptional support, balancing our wedding planning with complicated room allocation changes. Martha and the team handled the wedding event wonderfully. We had fantastic interactions with all the hotel staff, and the front desk dealt with every request swiftly and professionally. Our guests loved the spa, which is above average in its features. The treatment rooms were spotless and modern, with plenty of loungers. We think the spa could offer a suggested order for the temperature rooms so guests can move through the temperature changes gradually. The floor was very slippery and needs more regular attention.
