About this property
Got a bright idea? Our Grantham Colsterworth hotel is just over a mile from Woolthorpe Manor House, the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton. This National Trust property is home to the legendary apple tree where Newton discovered gravity. The South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire in which our hotel sits has several beautiful sites to see, from Belton House's picturesque wooded park to the 800-year-old Grimesthorpe Castle. For a family trip, head to Belvoir Castle, which hosts all kinds of fun events. All rooms feature a comfy king size bed with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food and drink choices within a short car journey from the hotel.

For the price, this hotel is a great deal, with plenty of free parking. Asda petrol station, Greggs and a Burger King are only a 2 minute walk away. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean. There’s also a large parking area for lorry drivers, so if your room faces that way and you leave the window open, you may hear them getting up early.

We stopped because the driver needed a break before we carried on home, and a room for the night seemed better than spending a couple of chilly, uncomfortable hours in the car. The lady at reception was friendly and helpful, got us booked in and checked we had everything we needed. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Great value, in my opinion.

Even though it’s so close to the A1, the room was very quiet. It was great, and the staff were really friendly. Dog friendly too!

I caught two scum bags trying to steal my vehicle. Staff did what they could, but there’s no CCTV, so it feels like the Wild West. Management knows about it, and various vehicles have been damaged recently. Vehicles aren’t safe here. I won’t be back.

Ben was in charge that night and made all the difference. Thanks to him, the stay felt much more professional and relaxing.
