Premier Inn Grantham

For someone working night shifts, this hotel isn’t ideal. In the morning, cleaners regularly bash their trolleys against the walls, making it hard to sleep during the day. There didn’t seem to be much consideration for guests. The signal was extremely poor, and although free WiFi was advertised, it was barely usable without paying extra for the upgraded version. I stayed at this Premier Inn for three nights during the week and found the experience very disappointing. Checkout is at 12pm, but housekeeping started knocking at 10:30am while I was still in the room with the “Do Not Disturb / I’m Sleeping” sign displayed. They kept knocking, and while I was showering, I heard someone come into the room and then shut the door. It felt like a complete invasion of privacy. Staff shouldn’t try to enter before a guest has checked out. I’d also strongly advise not leaving anything behind. I seem to have had my charger taken and haven’t been able to retrieve it. This particular Premier Inn needs better staff training and more consideration for customers.

Free parking is available for hotel customers as long as you enter your reg on arrival. The room was clean and tidy, with a comfy bed, bathroom and TV. We really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t ask for anything more. Would definitely stay again.

The ladies on reception and the cleaners were brilliant, and made my stay at the hotel in Grantham enjoyable. Special thanks to Ruth, who went above and beyond to sort out my booking when I arrived on the 26th Oct. Many thanks, ladies.

The staff were friendly and apologetic when a plumbing issue left me with a sleepless first night. It affected my time away, as I had an early family gathering the next day. They moved me to another room and gave me a choice of two. The hotel is conveniently near the major motorway/A1, but the location is really quiet.
