Pier Hotel

We had a lovely stay on Boxing Day and will definitely come again. The one small thing missing was a toilet brush. 😀😀😀 The staff were wonderful, hardworking, friendly and attentive. The receptionist was welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable, and the power shower had plenty of hot water. We had tasty food from the bar menu in the evening, with lots of choice. Breakfast had a wide range of fruit, yoghurts and pastries. We chose the cooked breakfast, which was plentiful and prepared really well. There were other options too, including boiled eggs, a muffin with smoked salmon and kippers.

Jemma & Peter, thank you for such kind, caring, attentive and professional service. You made my Mum's day, and we'll be back. We took my elderly Mum and her friend Pam for lunch, and had a lovely time. We don't eat out often because we rarely find the food Mum needs or people who seem to care, but you were the opposite. We were shown to our table promptly and served drinks quickly. You took real care with Mum's order, preparing it the only way she can eat it for her dietary needs and finding alternative ingredients. We all enjoyed our meals, made with lovely ingredients, and the fab desserts. The food was delicious, cooked just right and brought out promptly with a smile and genuine warmth. You also checked throughout to see if we needed drinks or anything else. WOW, what a lovely lunch. Thank you again. Helen & Pam

Just commenting on the food. The service was good, the waiters were very friendly and the place was clean, but the food was terrible. We were starving, so ate it reluctantly and paid a hefty price for it. There were four of us, and each person's lunch was worse than the one before. Very disappointing.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, but I've eaten at the restaurant regularly and it's consistently been good. Hayley always gives brilliant service. The food is average, not gourmet, but fine for the place. It does feel a bit pricey for what seems like frozen food cooked as pub grub. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is nice.
