Travelodge Harrogate

The staff were welcoming, and the parking is right next to the Travelodge. The bathroom floor was dirty, with a noticeable gap between the surface and the wall that needs filling. There was also lots of dust on the hinges, easy to see with the door shut. The ceiling light flickers when switched on and needs checking.

The noise made it hard to sleep, even on the top floor, as the double glazing didn't keep it out. A nearby bar and nightclub played music into the street until 2:30am. They offered earplugs, but I still got very little sleep. This street is Harrogate's party centre. The room itself was basic and a bit tatty, though the central spot is handy for restaurants. If you're considering staying here, I'd choose the Premier Inn instead.

For a cheap, clean room in a good spot, this budget hotel is ideal. There's a Wetherspoons next door too. It's not a five-star place, but it isn't meant to be.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the things we needed to do, and that worked out perfectly. The place is simple, clean, and good value, with everything we needed. We were on the second floor and had a great view. It's also close to everything.
