The location and views are wonderful, with walking trails and a pebbled beach just five minutes down the cliff, plus a cute local cafe. The room’s design, layout and outlook were lovely, and the rooms are a good size. But for a four star hotel, we weren’t overly impressed. We’re a family of four, two adults and two children, and paid close to £360 a night, so we expected more. Nobody offered to help with our luggage on arrival or departure. We could have asked, but I’d expect a four star hotel to offer. Cleanliness was okay, though a closer look showed it needed a good dusting, and there were stains on the walls and curtains. I also found an old shaver, presumably left by previous guests, in a bedside table. If my 3 yo had found it, things could have turned out differently. The breakfast buffet had a nice range of healthy choices, with a warm breakfast as the main option. That hot breakfast could have been presented better. It felt like mine had been thrown together and sent out. The pool and spa were great, but children could only use the pool at certain times. I found that rule unfair, and we could only fit in one visit with our children. A hotel like this should either be adults only or let children use the pool without those restrictions. Staff were friendly, and the location is wonderful, but the hotel itself gave us an okay experience.

We stay in plenty of hotels for work, so it takes something special to impress us. Mullion Cove Hotel managed it, a genuine 10/10, and we’ll definitely return. The staff really made the place feel welcoming and relaxed. Everyone we met was friendly, professional and ready to help. The hotel is beautifully kept, very clean and in a stunning location. We also loved the spa, and every meal was outstanding, a real treat throughout the stay. We chose it largely because it’s advertised as dog friendly. Plenty of places say that without following through, but here dogs really are made to feel as welcome as their owners. It exceeded all our expectations.
We spent a lovely afternoon in the sun by the pool, and the restaurant food was delicious. Dinner came with nice extra touches, good portions and a reasonable price. Breakfast was really good too. The hotel is lovely and clean, with good sized rooms and welcoming staff. The location is stunning. We’ll be back.
We loved the peaceful spa and the cooked breakfast was lovely. The buffet could have been a bit better, though the fresh juices were a nice touch. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, and we liked that the hotel welcomes dogs while still having a dog free lounge. Its location right on the coast path is brilliant, with stunning views from the lounges, spa and rooms.
The food is outstanding now, with plenty to choose from across the regular menu and daily specials. We ate in both the bar and dining room this past week. Look out for the scotch egg with homemade brown sauce. We’ve been coming here every year for more than 20 years when staying in the area, and were pleased to see the revamp over the last year. The surroundings are comfortable and clean, and the staff are friendly and pleasant. I really like the new model and will be back for more very soon.
