The bar food was really good. I had a steak sandwich one night, then fish and chips the next, and breakfast was top quality too. The bedroom was clean and tidy, if a little dated. It took about 5 minutes for the shower to warm up, but once it did, it was red hot and powerful. The Guinness pour was the one letdown, very poor. Good value overall, with friendly staff.

The spa treatment was lovely, and the facial was really relaxing. I also enjoyed the facilities, especially the outdoor jacuzzi with a view. It was covered, so even a little rain didn't spoil it. The welcome from the man at reception was lovely, though I'm not sure if he was the manager. Everyone we dealt with was warm and welcoming, which matters a lot to me. The room and restaurant areas were clean and tidy, and the restaurant decor is gorgeous. I'd definitely come back.

The food was lovely, as it always is, and the service made the occasion. Lara welcomed our big group when we arrived for our niece's birthday yesterday, then looked after us throughout the stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and she always had a smile. Great customer service goes a long way, and that was certainly true here. Highly recommend.

We visited on Friday for the opening of the new restaurant extension and sports room. The restaurant was lovely, with great views and beautiful decor, and the food was excellent. The staff were cheerful and welcoming, and the service was great. A big thank you to the Springfield team for all their hard work getting it open. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.

The rooms were comfortable, and it's a good location for a short stay. The restaurant has some really interesting dishes, and the Chicken Bao Burger was my favourite. The staff are friendly too. The one drawback was the soundproofing. I couldn't even watch TV without disturbing the neighbours, who complained.
