The birthday cake was the perfect touch at the end of the evening. I’d ordered it ahead for my mum’s 85th, and the owner and staff came out singing Happy Birthday. She was delighted, and it really made her night. There were eight of us for dinner, and two stayed in a room. They said it felt homely, had lovely countryside views, and the staff made them feel welcome and settled. I’ve eaten here before, but the food this time was the best I’ve had here. The team also did a great job answering everyone’s questions and helping with wine and food choices. They were well trained, exceptionally polite, and friendly. A job well done.

We had a really pleasant evening here with three adults and two children. There’s plenty of room for children, and the staff were lovely. The food was much better than the usual gastro pub fare. A very nice place to eat, recommended.

The gluten free choices were such a treat for me. I often struggle to find things I can eat when I’m out, but nearly everything on the menu had a gluten free option, and they even had gluten free breakfast cereal. We stayed one night at the Greyhound country inn and had a lovely time. Staff greeted us warmly when we arrived and showed us to our rooms after check-in. They were spotless, warm, and cosy. Lunch in the restaurant was lovely, then we slept well in a comfortable bed and had a delicious breakfast. Everything was wonderful.

We were away in Monkton and stopped at the Greyhound Country Inn for dinner. The menu had smaller portions to choose from, which I wish more places offered. Great food, friendly staff, and really good service. Brilliant.

The room was lovely, and every member of staff gave amazing service. They went out of their way with dietary needs, even checking that my cocktail was made gluten free. There were loads of gluten free options, and the steak dinner was the best we’ve ever had. The food was incredible.
