The freshly cooked English breakfast was amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a typical small hotel with a lovely garden and a quiet, relaxing setting. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the small bathroom was nice. Great quality for the budget.

The breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. It’s an older-style hotel in the heart of town, in a nice old building.

The staff were friendly and easy to approach, and I’d happily stay here again. We visited on the hottest day of the year, but luckily room 11 was shaded and stayed lovely and cool. Breakfast was lovely too, though beans would be a nice addition to the full English. It’s a bit dated, but I’d call it vintage.

I had to deliver a pizza to the hotel and couldn’t get anyone to answer the doorbell, even after ringing twice. When I called the hotel, the man who answered was disrespectful and rude. I didn’t know the hotel number, and he asked what he was supposed to do about it. I gave him the customer's name, and he sighed, “I have 14 rooms here, give me a moment.” The guest who ordered the pizza also seemed confused by how rude he was to both of us. I only saw the man briefly, but he was a small Asian man. That was absolutely not 10/10 customer service. I’ll never stay at this unfriendly-looking hotel, especially with staff like that.
