The Gin Trap Inn

The pub is warm and cosy, and the food was fabulous. We started the evening with cocktails by the fire, then had a lovely three-course meal with wine. The cauliflower soup was exceptional, as was the homemade gluten-free bread roll. We were shown to a beautifully furnished cottage that didn't feel like a rental at all. The beds were super comfy, and the linen and towels felt crisp, fresh and new. Everyone was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Will (Rodders) deserves a special mention for helping us find gluten-free menu options and for engaging with all of us. From the moment we arrived, the reception was so friendly. We liked it so much after stopping in for a light bite and a drink following a beach walk that we booked dinner for that same evening. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic. Rachel came over to say hello again. The pub is cosy and charming, with a lovely atmosphere. Rachel and her colleague gave us such a warm welcome and were especially kind to our dog, Bobby, bringing him water and treats. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at the Gin Trap Inn, and we can't recommend it enough. The pub has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff go above and beyond. Rachel and Joe are a real credit to the pub and make you feel so welcome. The food, cocktails and service were exceptional. We stayed overnight, and the accommodation was comfortable, modern and clean. We had our puppy with us, and the pub was fantastic and accommodating with him. A massive thank you. We've stayed a few times at GTI and often visit the pub when we're in Norfolk. This time we spent a couple of nights in Compass Cottage and had a fabulous time. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, with lovely views out the back. Breakfast was excellent quality and kept us fueled for yesterday's lovely long walk around Holkham and Wells. GTI is a great base for exploring North Norfolk, and we've already recommended it. The staff are a real credit to the pub, welcoming and spot on with their service. Our dog was made to feel as welcome as we were. It never disappoints. We'll definitely be back, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it again. Thank you!
