The food was good, and we had a nice view from our room, but the stay didn’t feel worth £150 a night. We’d booked at the last minute for the May bank holiday weekend. Check-in happened at the busy bar, and the young staff seemed unsure about quite a few things. Our loft room was up the stairs, and nobody offered to help with the bag. Outside, the seating area felt a bit like Butlins. People were smoking and vaping, so we had to move because the adults in our group disliked the smoke and we didn’t want our child breathing it either. I expected a more upmarket place for that room price. I probably wouldn’t come back.

The atmosphere was fine, and lunch was decent. Our server was warm and attentive. The manager seemed friendly too, though I saw them criticise her.

We stayed in a roomy loft for a few business days, and the view was almost 360 degrees. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and nicely presented for the price. I’d recommend it and would come back if I’m in the area.

I was working in Hythe and found the accommodation, bar, and restaurant great. The staff were really friendly, and Tuesday evening had a lovely atmosphere. The only small snag was that the shower in room 5 never got very hot.

Breakfast was a letdown. The food itself was disappointing, and the ordering was confusing: we were seated and given menus, waited a long time, then learned we had to order at the bar. The menu said every breakfast came with a hot drink, but when we ordered, the man told us the free drink only came with some breakfasts. I wouldn’t recommend it. There must be somewhere better in Hythe.
