The quirky interior gave us plenty to talk about and made the stay feel special. Chris and Jane were lovely, going out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Our room was tidy, the bed was comfy, and breakfast was fantastic. We’re already looking forward to booking again.

We were in the area for a wedding and stayed one night. Christopher was so helpful, even giving us a lift up the road to our car at the venue the next morning. The beach house is beautiful, with stunning coastal views, and breakfast was lovely too. Such a great find, we’d happily recommend Newberry Beach Lodge.

Just a stone’s throw from the beach, Newberry Beach Lodge was a lovely place to spend the end of August. Jane and Chris made us feel at home from the start, and the lodge’s quirky character gives it such a warm, welcoming feel. Breakfast had delicious home-cooked touches. The location was brilliant for walking the South Coast pathway, but this was the worst of the eight different B&Bs we stayed in on our walking holiday. All six of us agreed. After a 14-mile walk, we were hoping for hot showers or baths, but there was no hot water. It took an hour for the owner to arrive and switch on the immersion heater. When we arrived, the owners were absent, their dogs barked constantly, and we were left with bits of paper giving us property details. The bedrooms were functional but dated, beds included, and breakfast was adequate.

The cove looked magical and mysterious in early December, with beautiful views of waves breaking against the rocks. Jane and Christopher were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was amazing. We had a wonderful stay and were very happy here. I’d definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay. 😀
