Basic accommodation, but it was clean and warm, and there's decent parking. The beers are kept well too. It's a lovely estate pub, with the feel of somewhere that used to be a family food place. Warm, which matters with how cold pubs can be these days, if you know what I mean.

After nearly 24 hours of travel, we got to the hotel and had to make our way past smokers gathered right by the front doors. Inside it felt dim, worn and noisy. It was disco night, with the music pounding, and after such a long day I was starting to get a migraine. They showed us to a room where we could hear every note and feel the music vibrating. We were offered another room across the hall, but it was only a little quieter. In the end we left and found another hotel that was much nicer and definitely quieter. I can't give this place a good review in good conscience.

The rooms were OK and the service was good. They have a bar, though no food, and the extra pillows I asked for never arrived.

The shops are within walking distance, and the prices are good. Rooms are upstairs, with the pub downstairs. Steve and the staff are really accommodating, and there's something for you if you like quizzes, karaoke or card bingo. It's handy for contractors too, with most routes nearby if you're working in the area. Cheers to Steve and the staff, enjoyed the stays. 👍 Rufus 👍

The food was nice and the service was good, though it felt a bit quiet.
