We spent New Year here with the family and had a wonderful time. Even with heavy snow outside, the accommodation felt cosy, and we loved being surrounded by nature in such a peaceful, beautiful setting. Everyone on staff was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Gina and Liam gave us a particularly warm welcome at reception. Lochanhully is great for families or anyone after a quiet break. We’ll definitely be back.

The views were beautiful in every direction, and we had plenty of privacy. I stayed here recently with friends and really enjoyed it. I’d already like to come back, since we didn’t have enough time to explore the indoor spaces or the surrounding area properly. One small thing: the curtains and bedding were a bit dusty. I’m sensitive to dust and allergic, so I noticed it straight away. It wasn’t a major problem, but it’s worth mentioning. Apart from that, everything was wonderful. This has become one of my favourite places I’ve visited. 🤩

The cabin’s location is beautiful, but the two-bedroom accommodation felt tired and overdue for an update. It smelled so musty that once we got home, we washed everything, including clothes we hadn’t worn, our bags and our coats. I had sinusitis all week, which I put down to the musty air. The duvet was thin and lumpy, and looked ancient. I can’t fault the local staff, but come on, MacDonalds, keep up with the times.

The view from the solarium was lovely, looking out into the woods, and we saw deer each morning. We also had dinner and drinks at the on-site Murdoch’s Bar and Grill on four evenings, and really enjoyed the food, our waitress and the restaurant owner. We were there for a week using a II getaway, in a two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit. The rooms were a bit tight, as we knew going in, and the furniture and flooring were tired and should be replaced. Still, everything was clean and working. I tried fly fishing on the loch one morning, but had no luck since they hadn’t stocked it this year. We’d come back if the chance came up. We’re from the USA.

A really beautiful spot if you’re away from the road. There’s a big gang of ducks who come over to say hello in the morning, which is nice.
