Premier Inn Inverness Centre - River Ness

The location beside the River Ness was a real plus, with a nice view and just a 10-minute walk to either the bus or train station. Staff were helpful and friendly. They let me check in a bit early when a room was ready, and helped store my luggage. The all-you-can-eat breakfast had lots of choice and actually tasted good. My room looked tidy, but the bin hadn't been emptied before I arrived. It wasn't dealt with until housekeeping came the next day, and the room should have been fully cleaned before check-in. There were other problems too: the bathroom fan made a constant, very loud buzzing noise all night, and the Wi-Fi was slow and laggy when I tried to watch YouTube. Breakfast was good, but the restaurant steak was the worst I've had, overcooked and very dry.

Parking was a constant struggle, with spaces hard to find each time. The room itself was comfortable and had a nice ambiance, with unusual purple strip lights on the bed giving it a modern feel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

After a long journey, I had the most comfortable night here. The duty manager gave me a pleasant welcome, and the large, quiet room had a very comfy bed. There was a decent kettle and cups, and the bathroom was lovely.

I got the very last room, 481 on the 4th floor, and stayed just one night. It was clean and comfortable, with air con that could've been better. The windows open a little, which helped. Breakfast was continental and okay, but honestly not worth 8pound. The few staff I saw were pleasant. It's an easy walk into town, just across the bridge. The restaurant wasn't serving hot meals that night, though I'd been told by email beforehand. Many thanks.
