I was happy with the stay. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and breakfast was tasty and served until 10 a.m. Checkout wasn’t until midday, so I could have a lie-in. It was a last-minute emergency plan after I couldn’t get a taxi home, and the walk would’ve taken just under an hour. The hotel was three minutes from the venue, and at £55 a night on New Year’s, I couldn’t complain, especially with other hotels charging over £100. I booked and checked in within an hour.

Breakfast had good options and the room was neat and clean, although there was a slight unpleasant smell. There’s plenty of paid parking, at £5 for 24 hours. Breakfast ends at 10 AM, and one daytime staff member was a bit rude about us needing to finish quickly when we arrived late. The night reception staff were very helpful and polite. A decent, affordable stay with friendly staff overall.

The location was great, very close to the Marina, which was convenient. I stayed for two nights. The room and bathroom were clean, and the hospitality tray was a nice touch. The main disappointment was having only 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi. Parking wasn’t free either, and I was charged £10 for the two nights. A decent stay, though complimentary Wi-Fi and parking would improve it.

In the evenings, a strong grilled food smell from the restaurant next door may reach rooms overlooking the car park. If you don’t eat meat, you might find it unpleasant. I’d choose a room with that in mind, or just keep the window shut :))
