This charming 3-star hotel is situated in Grouville, on the south-east coast of Jersey, next to the Royal Jersey Golf Course and just a few minutes’ walk from the beautiful sandy beaches of Grouville Bay.
At the end of the bay lies the picturesque harbour of Gorey, with its award-winning restaurants, cafés and the impressive historic Mont Orgueil Castle overlooking the village. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes’ drive from St Helier Harbour and around 25 minutes from Jersey International Airport.
Just a short walk behind the hotel is the beautifully landscaped Queen’s Valley Reservoir, a peaceful haven for nature lovers and walkers, offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Jersey.

Gorey beach is an easy walk, there’s a little supermarket nearby, and the bus stop right across from Beachcombers Hotel goes into St Helier. Our ground-floor room opened straight onto a patio and had plenty of space. It was clean, too, with a TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee, towels and toiletries. Vince, the manager, was smiling and helpful from the minute we arrived, and the restaurant and bar staff made us feel welcome as well. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and really enjoyed it. Breakfast had a good spread of hot and cold choices, with hot drinks brought by a waitress. There’s parking behind the hotel, a bar lounge, and a reading room that opens onto the patio by the pool. The pool had lots of seating, though I couldn’t use it because of a storm. This was my first stay at Beachcombers Hotel and my first visit to Grouville. I’d happily come back and recommend it.

Breakfast was lovely, with a great range of choices, but I found the food at the bar not worth the money. The room was dirty, and the carpet looked as though it had barely been cleaned. When the sheets were changed, the fresh ones had a yellow stain on them. On my first night, I couldn’t use one of the towels because it was stained orange. The shower was old and dirty, and there was mould across the bathroom ceiling and walls. I stayed for four nights, and this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The staff were excellent, and I enjoyed breakfast during my four-night stay. The bus stop is close by. The bedroom furniture was a bit tired, though. Lovely hotel, and thank you.

My mum and I had an amazing week. It was easy to get around because buses run regularly, and there are lovely beaches all around this beautiful location. The pool area was lovely, with cushions for the loungers and pool towels available. There’s even a library area that leads out to the pool. Our room was clean and comfortable, the food was very good, and the staff were polite, friendly, helpful, and lovely.

We were touring Jersey’s battlefields by motorcycle with friends, and this was a great place to stay. Bars and restaurants are an easy walk away, with a beautiful medieval castle nearby.
